We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Designer to join our graphic design team and lead our design projects with creativity and precision.
Andelo is a design subscription service for Australian marketing teams. We're looking for a Senior Production Designer who loves the craft of design and thrives on execution — not meetings, pitches, or managing people.
This is a hands-on production role, not a creative leadership position.
What "Senior" Means Here
Years of experience don't guarantee capability. Here's what senior actually means:
- Structured environment experience — you've worked in agencies, production studios, or in-house teams where deadlines were real and feedback was direct
- First drafts that are 85–90% there — your work arrives nearly complete, not as rough concepts
- 1–2 revision rounds on average — you interpret briefs accurately and need only minor refinements
- Technical depth — you understand master pages, paragraph styles, global swatches, proper file structure. You build files correctly, not just hack things together
- Layout and typography skills — you can handle multi-page documents (brochures, reports, presentations), not just social media tiles
- Self-sufficient problem-solving — you handle complex briefs independently, asking smart questions upfront rather than needing constant guidance
If your work typically requires 3–4+ revision rounds, that's completely normal for mid-level designers — but this particular role needs someone who's moved past that stage.
Who You Are
- A maker at heart. You'd rather spend your day designing than directing others
- Fast and precise. You catch your own typos, check alignment obsessively, and deliver clean files
- Energised by pace. You thrive with multiple tasks daily and 1–2 day turnarounds — not week-long projects
- Comfortable with direction. You execute client concepts well, even when you might have done it differently
- Technically confident. You can explain how you'd set up a 50-page document efficiently, or troubleshoot a print file issue
This Role Is a Great Fit If
- You want stable, interesting work without chasing clients or pitching
- You prefer deep focus time over meetings and status updates
- You take pride in being the designer that project managers love working with
- You've worked in agencies or in-house teams and want the variety without the politics
- You value being recognised as a skilled individual contributor, not just a stepping stone to management
This Role Probably Isn't Right If
- You're looking for creative leadership or art direction responsibilities
- Your portfolio is mostly social media graphics without multi-page layout work
- You've worked exclusively as a freelancer without agency or in-house team experience
- High-volume work feels draining rather than satisfying
- Your recent work typically requires 3–4+ revision rounds (that's okay — it just means this specific role isn't the match)
What You'll Do
Design Execution
- Deliver high-quality design assets daily: social media graphics, digital ads, print collateral, presentations, brochures, and marketing materials
- Work at pace — most tasks have 1–2 day turnarounds, not week-long timelines
- Handle both quick social assets AND complex multi-page layouts with equal confidence
- Follow brand guidelines precisely and organise files according to our SOPs
Collaboration
- Work directly with our Project Coordinators who handle client communication
- Communicate clearly in ClickUp — concise updates, smart questions, no unnecessary back-and-forth
- Flag potential issues early rather than waiting for problems to escalate
